Supporting Exhibitors at EXPO 2025 Osaka as Attorney for Customs Procedures (ACP)

SK Advisory Inc. was proud to support overseas companies and government entities participating in EXPO 2025 Osaka, Japan by acting as their Attorney for Customs Procedures (ACP) — also known as Agent for Customs Procedures — to facilitate smooth and compliant import and export procedures.

Even if an overseas exhibitor did not have a legal address in Japan, they were still able to bring goods into the country as the Importer of Record (IOR) by appointing an ACP such as SK Advisory. Conversely, without a properly designated IOR, general customs clearance in Japan was not possible.

In fact, we often received urgent requests from exhibitors who were unaware of the ACP requirement and whose goods had already arrived in Japan without proper arrangements. (From our perspective, given the number of exhibitors facing this issue, the EXPO organizing committee should have provided clearer guidance on the ACP system to international participants.)
